I' ve found that I don' t have "nslookup" command (bash: command not found) and it' s true!! Which packet does it belong to?

I think it's in the bind package, just do a search from within yast, with the word nslookup. I think it's pretty silly to not make nslookup a default for this package, maybe the suse boys are listening right now :)
I' ve configured Linux to access Internet through a modem and ppp connection but when I fire up the connection I get this in /var/log/messages:
nip snip snip
Mar 6 19:21:36 Voyager pppd[802]: local IP address local.ip.address Mar 6 19:21:36 Voyager pppd[802]: remote IP address remote.ip.address
Yes, so what's the problem? your ISP gave you your IP, you can't be in too bad shape.
I would like to make Sendmail working in something like "off-line mode", that is, if I write and send an email using Pine, and I' m not connected to Internet at that moment, the mail is not sent immediately but it is queued and will be sent at the next mail check. How could I do this?
dnl enable the following two lines, if you have a dialup connection dnl and want to queue all email until "sendmail -q" is started. dnl dnl define(`confCON_EXPENSIVE', `True')dnl dnl define(`SMTP_MAILER_FLAGS',`e')dnl In /etc/mail you'll find a file called linux.mc Make a copy of it as backup, do what the above instructions tell you to do. Make sure you read the README in this directory. Make a backup of /etc/sendmail.cf too.
Sometimes I get this in /var/log/messages
Mar 6 20:00:00 Voyager /USR/SBIN/CRON[866]: (root) CMD (test -x /usr/sbin/faxqclean && /usr/sbin/faxqclean)
What does it mean?
While logged in as root do this crontab -e this will throw you into the crontab file for root (edit mode) , you should see an entry there for faxqclean. This entry in the messages file is just informative telling you the scheduled event was kicked off. If you don't want this to happen , just comment out the line. -- Lou A.
