[opensuse] LibreOffice 4
I see LibreOffice 4 is now available from www.libreoffice.org. There is an RPM available from that site. Is there an openSUSE package available yet? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hmmm... I've added the repository, but Online Update doesn't appear to see the new version. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I just changed it from 99 to 100 and no difference. Also, I've added repos many times in the past and never had to change the priority. A higher priority means a lower number. Obviously ;-) Bob -- Bob Williams System: Linux 3.7.10-1.1-desktop Distro: openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64) with KDE Development Platform: 4.10.1 "release 545" Uptime: 06:00am up 5 days 8:27, 3 users, load average: 0.02, 0.04, 0.12 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

The URL that's in Software Repositories is http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_12.3/ I just went through the process:
Yast>Repos>Add>Community Repos>openSUSE BuildService - LibreOffice Yast>SoftManagement>Search Libreoffice>Select Libreoffice then select the Versions tab and select 4.0.2.1-1.1-x86_64.... Worked OK. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

My mistake, I meant Software Management, not Online Update. It's not seeing the new version. When I search on libreoffice, it doesn't show v4 as being available. At the moment, libreoffice, libreoffice-base etc. only show 3.6 as available. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Select display by repository, then display that particular repository, to see what it actually offers. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. Of course it doesn't, online update only reads from the update repository. Use the standard package manager, display libre office packages, version tab, and switch by clicking on the version you want. That's one method. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. As I mentioned in another note, that was a typo. I meant software management. You guys aren't very good at reading my mind. ;-)

That tab enabled it. Now, there's some conflicts that I have to investigate. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

No... it is a common nuance with programmer types -- we take to the letter of things ;-)

Hmmm... I've added the repository, but Online Update doesn't appear to see the new version. I've had this happen a few times, it seemed to sort itself out within a day or so. i've not managed to see what made it eventually recognise the software was ready for update. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
