the question separately. The dvi representation of the Linux Howto's uses fonts with names like dcit1000 and dcbi1200 that begin with `dc', but dvips can't find them. Does anyone know where those fonts are to be found?
The dc got replaced by ec a while ago. Old dvi files of course might still use any old font, in which case you either have to regenerate the dvi file using new font names or restore the fonts from some old place. In case of linux howto docs, the first is in order. That leads to two questions: 1. What does `ec' stand for, and where are the `ec' fonts? 2. Where would one find the source files for regenerating the dvi files?
