[opensuse] Major reaction delays in icewm with nm-applet
Hello, I have installed OpenSUSE 15.1 on a laptop with an AMD A6 APU. I installed the basic X Window setup with IceWM. But I need some way to manage the Wi-Fi, so I started nm-applet. But with nm-applet running I am seeing major delays in reaction to keyboard presses and clicks, to the degree of a minute or more. Whether I drag windows, type something into anything, etc etc. The mouse does move but delays make the system unusable. So I need to troubleshoot and fix this issue. Or else I need to replace nm-applet with something else that would run under icewm and give me a tray with wi-fi management. I would appreciate help in either task. -- Yours, Mikhail Ramendik Unless explicitly stated, all opinions in my mail are my own and do not reflect the views of any organization -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I prefer nmcli/nmtui from the command line. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
