On SuSE 7.1, does Postfix run chroot'ed by default? TIA, Jeffrey -- I don't do Windows and I don't come to work before nine. -- Johnny Paycheck
Pretty much, yes. Look at /etc/postfix/master.cf to be sure. On Mon, Apr 16, 2001 at 11:07:18AM -0500, Jeffrey Taylor wrote:

I was busily walking thru the chroot process and discovered that
master.cf already was setup for chrooting. Thanks for confirming my
suspicions.

No -- it runs as dedicated user postfix though, so chroot should not be necessary. -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A. P. J.
The master.cf file indicates most processes are chrooted.
