[S.u.S.E. Linux] 2.0.34 and ppp
I have compiled 2.0.34 with gcc 2.7.2.1 and with egcs 1.0.3a, and both resulting kernels broke my ppp, and recompiling pppd did not remedy this. I am back to using 2.0.33 with no irregularities. Anyone else have trouble with ppp in 2.0.34? ======================================================================= "I was playing poker the other night ... with Tarot cards. How did you get the patches to work? I ended up with files in the wrong directories when I tried... On 04-Jun-98 Michael Lankton wrote:

I am suspicious of patches. I always download the complete sources. The Gecko wrote:

I didn't have any probs w/ my ppp-2.2.0f version of ppp, but 2.0.34 did break my NFS and apparently doesn't support the vfat fs. Did anyone else experience this? -- WWW: <A HREF="http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~cbebber"><A HREF="http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~cbebber</A">http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~cbebber</A</A>> PGP: 768/2F9B4879 35 93 D1 42 D0 45 44 CB E7 8F 64 37 FB FD 54 5C -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Vfat fs is available after enabling NLS-Support. What are your problems with NFS? Regards, Lipo -- Roland E. Lipovits -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

All of the dos filesystem types were absent in the 'filesystem' category when I recompiled. I thought it odd too. I can't remember exactly what the error was from NFS, but I've returned to 2.0.33 and am running trouble free so I'm happy.
