[opensuse] Groupware; Citadel

I'm looking at a few groupware packages for a non-profit I help out... At this time, I'm leaning toward Citadel; http://www.citadel.org/doku.php
Citadel is a turnkey open-source solution for email and collaboration.
One simple installation delivers a multitude of powerful features, including:
* email * calendaring/scheduling * address books * bulletin boards * mailing list server * instant messaging * wiki * multiple domain support * a powerful web interface
Basically, I need to set them up with something that does e-mail and calendaring and when changes are needed or new accounts are needed I don't have to do a site visit and touch each computer - or manage several types of e-mail clients. Anyone using this package, or know of it? Any feedback, or alternate recommendations would be greatly appreciated. If you can do with webmail, POP, IMAP, iCAL, activesync through Z-Push, you could take a look at Zarafa. Can also be used with Outlook clients (max 3 free) for those users who cannot live without ;-) http://www.zarafa.com Very scalable too (no problem to do 5-50000 plus users).
Thanks

I'm trying to get my Barbershop Chapter to use eGroupware. http://www.egroupware.org/ Plus it has a "commercial" part and and "open source" part Especially the "collabrative" parts. The organization changes Boards every year - so "pass the boxes, please" for President, Treasurer, Secretary, Section Leaders (one for each part - Tenor, Lead, Bari, Bass) My 2 cents, Duaine -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing & Rebuilding Reed Organ Society Member Florissant, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler@att.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com -- Home & Business user of Linux - 10 years -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've been using Zimbra for a while and love it. All of my family uses the web client, but there is a desktop client that can be used for offline reading. It also allows you to configure each users web client from the admin console. It works well with all the major email clients. You have to upgrade to the pay version to get Outlook integration ala exchange, but we haven't seen the need to do it. Another one to look at is Scalix. The last time I used it you got 5-10 outlook clients for free in the community edition. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
