I am trying to compile the latest version of dxr3 modules for SUSE 10. The compiles went fine, but when I try and load the em8300 module, I get the error below. #insmod ./em8300.ko insmod: error inserting './em8300.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module In /varlog/messages, I see Dec 21 00:10:07 mini kernel: em8300: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag. Dec 21 00:10:07 mini kernel: em8300: Unknown symbol request_firmware Is anyone using dxr3 card on SUSE 10? If so any pointers on how you got it working would help a lot! Thank you.
