Have you installed all the bluez packages? You need them all for getting it all working, in particular the util package. This contains the initialisation scripts for getting everything running (you may have to run them manually unless you reboot). The KDE Bluetooth framework is also very useful. It is a little counter intuitive, but once that's all working, you should be able to see the computer when you scan with the phone (I think it is uses the hostname by default). Now send an image over bluetooth from the phone, and you should get a pop-up to receive the file. If you do it's all working. One other gotcha is that you will probably have to edit /etc/bluetooth/pin in order to get the device pairing working. You use sdp:/ in Konqueror to browse for other nearby bluetooth devices. The final triumph (for me anyway) was browsing the web over GPRS on the train back to London. All I have to do now is figure out how to get work with my companies VPN software. -- Steve Boddy
