Hey, Anyone else using SuSE 7.3 used the Gnome2 RPMs from SuSE FTP yet? If so, have you had any serious problems? (I don't mean general Gnome bugs that should be reported to the Gnome makers, but installation-related problems.) I haven't gotten it to work yet. I installed all the base and app RPMs (except Mozilla - already had 1.1a installed), set up a gnome2 login on KDM... Tried going into Gnome2 and all I'd get is the black and white X screen. And the menu bar on Mozilla "disappeared". Technically it's still there, but there's no actual menu on it. I'm believing this to be caused by installing Gnome over Gnome and such. I had 1.4 installed, and installed the first release candidate as well. Now installing the real Gnome2 apparently made my system drunk and disorderly. ;-) Uninstalling every single RPM that's Gnome or Gnome-related now, and then will try installing Gnome2 again without 1.4 or any leftover release candidate programs. Just wondering if anyone else (using SuSE 7.3) has had problems as well.
