I'm a little confused by your permissions problem. I also have 3.0 but no vmware.bin file. The only thing that comes to mind that looks odd is the group for vmware.bin. Why is it trusted? I also just noticed that you have a file named vmware-mount.pl. I have no such file in /usr/bin. Maybe vmware did not install properly. Have you tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling?

Well, this is 2.04 instalation from 7.3 CD Professional. It is rpm and instalation was done by YaST1. I thing everything was done according to SuSE and VMWare or I just did something wrong ? Julo ==============================================================

I think perhaps I missed some of this thread. If not the problem seems straight forward. You have the permissions: -rwsr-x--- 1 root trusted 2665164 Sep 23 16:20 /usr/bin/vmware.bin* What you need is rwsr-xr-x. Try "chmod 755 /usr/bin/vmware.bin". Thanks John, I'll try soon. Finally I've installed from tar.gz version and /usr/bin/vmware.bin didn't show up. So, I have vmware insall and guest win 2000 as well. Now I try to get RTC and better resolution, so far I do not have any Vmware tools for 2.04. Julo
