Anybody noticed kdictionary does not start up after upgrading to kde 3.5.5? It exits after displaying a message that I can't read as it is not on screen long enough :-( I'm running SuSE 10.1 Any suggestions on where to look? Phil

Try running it from the command line and see if it prints the error to stdout/stderr. (i don't have kdictionary installed.) -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W. Watts

Try running it from the command line and see if it prints the error to stdout/stderr. (i don't have kdictionary installed.) Found the problem. The menu was starting gnome-dictionary which was crashing.. Changed it to kdict which runs fine :-)
Thanks for the pointer. Phil
