What distro? SuSE 10.0 has kaffeine-0.7.1 which should automatically detect DVB if all the relevant DVB modules and any necessary firmware, depending on what card, are loaded, you can then run kaffeine, click on DVB, run a scan which will present a list of stations on the right which you can select and add so they appear on the left and can be saved. My DVB setup is on Mandriva. klear, www.klear.org also works well as does xawtv which I've dowloaded from dl.bytesex.org/cvs-snapshots and use the following config to get it to work with DVB, libdv, libmpeg2 and zvbi including the -devel's need to be installed ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-alsa --enable-lirc --enable-zvbi -- enable-mpeg2 --enable-dvb --enable-arts --enable-xfree-ext --enable-xvideo --enable-mmx --enable-dv --enable-quicktime Google for linux-dvb and perhaps join the mailing list.
