Tried to copy a DVD in K3b
Tried to copy a DVD...it's a DVD I made with a copying VHS/DVD player from an old out of print VHS French movie which I paid a fortune for and want a better survival print. I tried K3b and got an ISO, but no copy. Is it possible in Linux, in K3b??? If not K3b, is there a way to I do it??? -- Gracia...Cooleemee, NC Registered Linux user #263390 - SuSE 10 Pro My country, right or wrong. If right, to be kept right, if wrong, to be put right.
Are you trying to burn a dvd+r? I have found that my k3b on a amd_64 on Suse 10 can not burn a DVD+R. But I found that if I burn a DVD-R, I have been more sucessful. It seems to work with DVD+RW but no luck on DVD+R. I think it does not write the table of contents out correctly. I found out If I am able to create one, (NeroLinux) I can expand the DVD with no proble with k3b. By the way, I tried to burn an ISO with k3b and was not successful even when it verifies the DVD. It always come back that the DVD is blank. Gracia M. Littauer wrote:

Be sure your player can handle +R the earlier ones are only -R friendly. I have a Sony VCR / DVD player which handles both fine. -- ___ _ _ _ ____ _ _ _ | | | | [__ | | | |___ |_|_| ___] | \/
