I recently heard a rumor that 10.1 was going to be the last of the "off the shelf" Boxed set and that in the future (10.2) you would pay for a key that let you download the product. I told the guy 'NO WAY'. I hope he was wrong. Has any one else heard of such? Mark

No, I haven't.

No, but I have heard that they may be changing the color of the boxes, then possibly the name. You see, they have a mountian of unused Red cardboard boxes with white lettering on them stuck in a warehouse somewhere in Provo, Utah. From what I've heard, marketing is planning on making 10.2 the "red" release, and slowly changing all logos from green to red. They have thought about - and rejected - using the BSD deamon. However, they wanted to avoid getting in a lawsuit issue with the University of California. Anyway, for 11.0 - the Loud version - they will be changing the name from SUSE to Novell LinuxWare. -- Kai Ponte www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request

So the next release will have a "Codename" of Netware, is that what you are saying? ;-) -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

I suspect they'll soon be getting a huge pile of blue & yellow boxes, from Lindon Utah. ;-)

Thats crazy unless they want to lose customers. Unless such is a spectacular improvement the name change would create confusion. CWSIV
