Hello Folks, I'm a new user of suse, my friend asked me to use it. So I installed suse 10.1 Beta 6. My labtop is Toshiba SMX30-113 Centrino. Suse worked very well with the KDE and it knows all my hardware. I just faced a problem with the Intel Wlan 2200BG Yast sees it and it allows me to configure it, but really I couldn't use it, it says interface isn't up I tried everything even ifup wlan0 and it says interface isn't found. Anyway the fix was to installe the latest windows driver and upgrade the firmware of the Intel Wlan 2200BG. So I would suggest that you update the binary driver in next Beta release. Thank you for making linux install much easier than last time I tried it in 1997 Good luck and keep doing this hard great work! Bad idea. If you want something stable and that just works, install SUSE 10.0 If you want to contribute to the openSUSE project by testing and submitting bug reports about the latest beta version, the install the latest 10.1 beta. ...
So I would suggest that you update the binary driver in next Beta release.
Thanks for contributing your feedback.
Again, if you want something that just works and is fully tested, use
10.0 ;)
cheers

Hey Pascal, I was trying to send my feedback about 10.1 so we can see this fixed before the final release. I love 10.1 no other issues faced me with it. Just I need my Intel wireless 2200BG to work smoothly without too much pain in the future releases. So could we please get this issue resolved in the final release or in next beta version? If you have an issue with something not working, best use suse-linux-e for technical help. If it is a bug, file a bugreport. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. A bug report and the opensuse-factory would be better, he's using the beta. Joseph M. Gaffney aka CuCullin

You are correct. Missed the subject. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. Leben ist aber mehr als Werk und Arbeit, und das Sein wichtiger als das Tun - Johannes Müller-Elmau
