-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I would surely appreciate it if someone on this list that has the Wacom Graphire1 tablet working (well) could post the appropriate sections of their /etc/X11/XF86Config. I had it working fairly well under xfree86 4.2.0 and SuSE8.1 but I've never had consistant responses from the device since upgrading to SuSE9.0. ps... please don't suggest sax, that is the one tool that I have always been able to ruin my /etc/X11/XF86Config with, thank god for backups :-) Thanks dh -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAU5FbBwgxlylUsJARAo+eAJ9Mw+kibUy6urP62lUffnA+d42rhQCaAvbW bd7/OgEgqQEB0fxMbgQPzA4= =4WYz -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

This is for a serial mouse, hence /dev/ttyS0. The names "Wacom mouse", "Pen" and "Eraser" get picked up by gimp; so it's best not to leave them at the default values given by SaX2, which are something like Mouse[1], Mouse[3], Mouse[5]. Thanks for the tip

- --------snip------------ Thanks for the reply, I should have mentioned that my graphire is usb, but comparing your settings with mine I do see some diferences (particularly the settings relating to the gimp) , it doesn't look to hard to adapt the appropriate settings though. Before sending my original email I had been running kinfocenter at login, after sending the mail I noticed that the usb component (scan) done by this software really hosed the wacom, I had to plug it into my cardreader to get it working (if I didn't want to log out and back in). (I think yast's hardware scan may do the same thing but haven't had time to troubleshoot it yet. If it ain't broke, don't scan it ) Apparently something in the scan reacts poorly with the wacom. Mysteriously my usb scanner and printer seem not to be affected by this oddity.
