Hi, advise welcome, so for the experts among you: _SITUATION:_ I have a server located behind a firewall at location A with portforwarding on port 22 to the server. WAN-IP of firewall is known. I have a workstation at location B for which the IP is not know to the outerworld and port 22 is not forwarded to that pc (just a regular pc) but to one of our office server instead. _WHAT I LIKE TO DO:_ run x over ssh from my pc to the server. Settings: I set the $DISPLAY on my pc to my IP address and run xhost + I set the $DISPLAY on the server side to my IP address also (at least this is how we do it for internal servers) and then run the x-application BUT: since my local pc's IP address is not know to the outside, this won't work. Does anybody know a work around. VPN maybe? If you need more information I 'll be glad to provide that. Thanx in advance. Cheers, Filip
