More questions :) I have to recompile the kernel for Linux 7.0 Suse.... as I have to apply a patch to it in order to get it to work with ADSL apparently... my main problem is I cant find a source version of the kernel even on the 6 Suse Cds... do you know how to get hold of it .. also is it better to use a more up-to-date kernel or will that mess up the setting I have at the moment. http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch/howto.html http://home.sch.bme.hu/~cell/br2684/ managed to install the roaring penguin though (yey)trying to run the RFC2684 Bridging kernel patch but im guessing this has to be done on a source of the kernel which I cant find... What is the command for finding the kernel version ? One more question (phew) there is a directory /home which holds all the individual users stuff is it possible to move this to a separate hard drive (am about to install an additional one) ? Thanks Richard
