[opensuse] 11.4 can't detect HP Photosmart c309g network scanner/printe
Hi, I tried connecting this device over the network, "Run hp-setup" can't detect it. For printer feature, I could set it up manually specifying its IP address, but for scanner feature, I don't seem to have that option. Any idea what I can do? I don't have this problem with 11.3 BTW. Ok, I've taken down FW just in case, although I think FW doesn't do anything for outbound session like scanner search, and ran "hp-makeuri" I saw in one of recommendations. It detected it and created URIs. But how can I install the scanner part using this URI info? The printer part has been installed already as I described above. When I tried adding it through Scanner Configuration-YaST, it gave up after I selected the driver. Hi, I wanted to let you all know that this has been resolved. I've kept checking online updates and updated every time I saw any updates were available. As the result, when I try detecting the scanner via "hp set-up" today in Scanner Config window, it was finally detected. Now I can use XSane.
