[S.u.S.E. Linux] LS-120; Linux -vs- win(?)95
An interesting bit of info for LS-120 users or those who are considering purchasing one. I have discovered that my LS-120 drive is up to 10X faster at certain tasks then win(?)95. I was really surprised at the degree to which the drive was faster under Linux. I had been completely disappointed with the performance under win(?)95 and was considering dumping the drive altogether. I wrote a 10MB file to the LS-120 4X under Linux 4X faster then it took to read a 4MB file from the LS-120 and copy it to the hard drive. I have one question. I was reading an article on ziff davis's web site and I have been wondering, is an "enterprise" server the ship that supplies Captain Kirk with tarts?
