Hello Linux folks! I'm getting a strange message in /var/log/messages modprobe: Can't locate module binfmt-0090 What does it mean and how to fix it? I can tell you what it means but not how to fix it. When you execute a program the kernal checks the programs magic number and invokes the appropriate loader. When the loader is a module the appropiate module is loaded using a binfmt entry in /etc/conf.modules. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a binary format with a magic number of 0090 which I presume means that you are trying to run a non-executable. Have you been having problems with something not starting? /Michael -- This space intentionally left non-blank. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
