I can tell you that the ONLY reason I purchase a distribution (contribute to your income) is that by doing that I can get a "set" of software that meets certain published specifications and has been assembled/tested to work together. If you change the specifications behind my back, as it were, I don't feel that I have been given a fair chance to make my choice-i.e., I feel cheated. I would definitely have waited for the later release had I known it would exist, but the way you're doing this there's no way to know what you get when you pay your money and that's not a very inviting situation. That is the whole logic behind numbered releases-what part of that don't you understand?
_I_ have nothing to do with any SuSE-releases!!!! (and another !!!!)!!!. I only expressed my very own thoughts about this. I shouldn't post to this list at all - several people don't seem to like that I express _my opinion_, and I will rather shut up than changing myself and becoming a poilitician. I post with @suse.de merely for convenience - using dejanews for an anonymous posting is awkward (and just changing the from address is not enough - the Organization:-header will still be the same, inserted by the local newsserver).
If it's your own opinion you shouldn't post it under a @suse.de email address but a private email address i.e. a providers email address. I'm working for a company. They would NEVER allow me to give my opinion about subjects that involve the company i work for under my works email address.
I also want to get my money every month, or else, and somebody's gotta pay. It doesn't seem as though you care a whole lot what happens to MY pay! I will very definitely think twice before buying SuSE again.
I'll definitely thing twice if I should ever post anything again, because the danger that someone gets annoyed seems to be too great. I'm not as good as Lenz in politics - especially since I like getting involved in and talking about controversial topics.
PS: I don't see how this relates to your pay.
PS2: All I did was trying to talk about it to understand people's positions. Seems to have been a terrible mistake.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 In my opinion, posting to a S.u.S.E. support based list with a @suse.de email addey knowing full well real _S.u.S.E. employees_ post using said extension is ridiculous. All it does it confuse the hell out of people because they think you are a S.u.S.E. employee are and gives a ( perhaps deliberate ) false impression. To me that's just a plain bad judgement call. Period. I found that extremely odd when I saw that @suse.de and then read the mail, as the content was such this couldn't be coming from anyone at S.u.S.E. In the end, you can post using any address you want, I suppose, but there is still something to be said for common sense. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP for Personal Privacy 5.0 Charset: noconv iQA/AwUBN1Wy6VRe+rILUYr9EQKv3QCeKPCyTidea3W7xOnP9MC/609gtm0AoKVl sKX+nroGCBdkao3a2p3CJzQ3 =X54f -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
