[ML-Wish] opensuse-projects or opensuse-contributions
Hi all, currently I am making my progress on building Webmin and Usermin packages according to the SUSE Build HowTo. The work is still in progress but I wonder if openSUSE will add user contributions to the distribution and if how to tell SUSE about this? Where can I ask questions? suse-linux@suse.com or suse-linux-e@suse.com? My openSUSE-page for Webmin - http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/User:Macmewes/Webmin - currently is the only place where I can announce stuff but I do not want to spam this list - sorry for this one here ;-) Would it be possible to install something like opensuse-projects@suse.com or opensuse-contributions@suse.com or maybe opensuse-contrib-announce@suse.com ? Maybe I am blind, but what is the correct way to get in contact with SUSE to tell them that I want to maintain this package. I did my share of telling at http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/Package_Wishlist - is this all I need to do? bis dahin - kind regards Martin Mewes -- ###################################################################### http://www.webmin.com/ | Webbased Administration Tool for http://webmin.mamemu.de/| Unixoid Systems :-) Webmin Translation Team ######################################################################

Yes, I guess it is already time to create an opensuse contrib directory and policy. Not at least because "the creme" of the scene already has waited long long time... At ftp.gwdg.de, I have collected lots of suse "users" which are maintaining "their" personally interesting packages, and at least some of them feel a "mission" to struggle for general ("social") efforts. All "my" individuals are feeding their personal apt repository components currently, and some of them already have a "suse100" component. It really should be the next step to integrate these proven contributors. Cheers -e -- Eberhard Moenkeberg (emoenke@gwdg.de, em@kki.org)
