Ah-ha! Yes, it had died. I thought it might be syslogd had stopped, but I didn't have a clue how to check it and what to do! Has your syslogd died? A quick check is ``rcsyslog status'' If it's dead, just restart it with ``rcsyslog start'' You may also have run out of space in /var filesystem. df will show you the available space. -Kastus
