Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Lilo
Hello Jim,
Hello all! Thanks for your help, and tonight, while watching the replay of Monday Nitro, i will be linux~connected. I read that Mr. Boonan<? sorry if i am wrong, sir> has a lilo config problem. I too have one. I can't seem to get the kernel to accept the fact i had to install the scsi adaptec 1543<?> controller as a module. If i don't boot with the rescue, i ALWAYS get 'kernel panic: VFS can't load fs on 02:00'.
As you confuse me with the rest of you mail (I deleted), do you boot from this SCSI Controler? If yes, you entered the room of the faithful few that belive you can boot from an device that does not yet know of it's existance. If you boot from this controler, (rtfm i should say ;) build the SCSI support DIRECT INTO the Kernel, not as a module. That won't frighten you kernel and make it stop panicing.
