Thanks for the info. I deleted the sound card, then added it back in and received the message "Your sond card is ready for use.". However, still no sound, so I'm stumped. Any other ideas? Thanks! Anthony

I just installed SuSE 8.2 on a Pent. 4, 1.4 Ghz machine and all is going well except there's no sound. I have an Intel 82801 BA-ICH2 sound card built in to the motherboard. Can anyone out there with one of these cards share with me how they got this to work? Thanks a lot in advance!

Why not try: YAST2 --> hardware --> sound and see if the card is recognized and whether you can get YAST2 to set it up for you? -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
