I have a SB16 ISA in the box running SuSE 6.3 I ran the ISADump and got Isapnp.conf I uncommented some of the lines for IRQ and DMA etc but see no change. Anybody know what I am doing wrong here? Is there support in Yast for Sound Blasters? I thought there would be.... We need more info to be able to help you I think. - did you compile sound (1) not at all, (2) as modules, (3) in the kernel, (4) are you using the standard SuSE kernel, - did you uncomment the '(ACT Y)' at the end of the isapnp.conf file, - did you try different settings for the card (starting with the ones it uses in Win)?

Don't know, I'm not running 6.3. SoundBlasters are definitely supported by Linux software though.

Jon

Did you edit /etc/conf.modules to load the sb16 module? You have to comment ~3 lines and uncomment ~6, but the process is very well-documented. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | http://www.atipa.com /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | 816-241-2641 _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
