You might want to check some of the sites like cdrinfo.com (cdrlabs.com possibly?) Or search google for DVD FIRMWARE UPGRADE FORUM -- Should return a few of the sites that talk about this stuff.

sometimes you need redmond. There are no style sheet sample programs for fonts in *nix so I must use win32. If it frees you to use DVd from outside the US zone then borrow someones winblows drive and run the program. who knows you might also win a convert when you show him a real OS. OTOH have you tried that region free program off a boot disk or under wine?? CWSIVk

I know I'm not volunteering a ROM flash :) I keep a handy-dandy Win98se bootable image on CD (with CDRom drivers) handy for such instances... (Along with a bunch of other "DOS Mode" diagnostics...)
