Hi list, my hair is turning gray over this one.
I am trying to get Pulseaudio running with realtime scheduling, but i am
not succeeding.
I've set /usr/bin/pulseaudio setuid and added myself to the pulse-rt
group, but it just won't work.
I have tried editing /usr/share/PolicyKit/policy/org.pulseaudio.policy
to allow org.pulseaudio.acquire-real-time and
org.pulseaudio.acquire-high-priority:
yes
I have tried explicitly granting access through polkit-auth --user
--grant, but it still does not work.
Below is the (snipped) output from pulseaudio --realtime=true -vvv
[WARN 4544] polkit-session.c:144:polkit_session_set_uid(): session != NULL
Not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
E: polkit.c: Cannot set UID on session object.

high-priority scheduling.

W: main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_RTPRIO, (9, 9)) failed: Operation not permitted
I specifically pay notice to the line that says
I: main.c: PolicyKit refuses acquire-real-time privilige.
I'm getting pretty frustrated over this one.
Best regards
