On a 43 Mb disk ? IIRC only the kernel (plus all modules) eats in at around 20M on suse 7.0 (and the rpm is 31M on suse7.3). add to that that suse requires you to install yast, which requires perl, which ... So I would strongly rewcommend you to have a look at the linux router project or similar sites, where they have images that allow you to run your router out of a few floppies .. But if you wish to try: Use manual install, use manaual pack election, select only those packages you really really need (kernel, sh, ipchians, aaa_base ) and try to squeeze it all in 42 M Kind regards, -- Gerhard den Hollander Phone :+31-10.280.1515 ICT manager Direct:+31-10.280.1539 Jason Geosystems BV Fax :+31-10.280.1511 gdenhollander@jasongeo.com POBox 1573 visit us at http://www.jasongeo.com 3000 BN Rotterdam JASON.......#1 in Reservoir Characterization The Netherlands This e-mail and any attachment is/are intended solely for the named addressee(s) and may contain information that is confidential and privileged.

plus, manually deleting unecessary kernel modules (router doesn't need ALSA drivers, DRI drivers, etc). -- -- Verdi March --
Did you try http://www.fli4l.de/e_index.htm ? Just select your packages, let it fix on floppy and install what ever you need on your hd. The doc on this site is very good and I run this system now for a while with no problems. Klaus.
