I managed to update from 10.2 to 10.3 over the break (with the usual confusions) on my laptop (IntelPentium M) and so far most seems to be working, except that the mounting of memory sticks no longer works. I used to use ivman as a user (non-root) but not when I run it it does not mount. I took a look at the configuration files but they are beyond my understanding. I suspect this is a hdX->sdX effect but what do I need to fix? ==John ffitch "This research is of insufficient standard" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do you see your usb controller(s) in an lspci -v printout? -- Kind regards, M Harris <>< -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

S< 0:00 [scsi_eh_2] 4939 ? S< 0:00 [usb-storage] 4964 ? S 0:00 hald-addon-storage: polling /dev/sdb (every 16 sec) which is odd as it should be mounting /dev/sdb1 which works my hand So it still looks like the change to sdX ==John ffitch "This research is of insufficient standard" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
