[opensuse] unresolvabale dependencies Gimp on 10.3 - repositories gone?
Hi, I wanted to install Gimp 2.6 on my 10.3. But it wants libgio-2.0 and later Glib 2.16 I cannot find these packages. The links on packages.opensuse-sommunity.org lead to nowhere. I have installed this some month ago on my laptop, but now the repositories seem to be gone??? When I look in Yast of my laptop I see the installed packages but not, from where they are, and also there is no "available version", just the installed one. Where can I find all the pakages I need for gimp 2.6 on Opensuse 10.3? thanks for your hints. Have you tried the GIMP 2.6 One-Click install from: http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=openSUSE%3A10.3&p=1&q=gimp just for 10.3? It's right before gimp-unstable. If that doesn't work, try the GIMP 2.4 Software Set.... Hi Allen, this is what I tried and it fails because of the dependency of libgio-2.0... Gimp 2.4 is installed (again) and works but because of some enhanced features I'd like to work with 2.6... I copied the libgio files from one compter to the other and ignored the conflict, but then when starting Gimp 2.6 it asks for Glib 2.16... kind regards Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona professional photography: http://www.daniel-bauer.com erotic art photos: http://www.bauer-nudes.com Madagascar special: http://www.fotograf-basel.ch/madagascar/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, sorry that you couldn't fix this problem... Seems as if that 10.3 has no Glib 2.16: http://www.mail-archive.com/telepathy@lists.freedesktop.org/msg01789.html Allen Zhu allen.jaloola@gmail.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
