[SLE] DocBook, DSSSL, XML, XEMACS, SGML & SuSE
Not that any of this is crystal clear, or easy, but it seems the 6.4 SuSE installation of Xemacs does not fully integrate the DocBook DTDs and the like. Sheez! and I thought java CLASSPATH was beguiling! I have the feeling I'm on my own on this one, but I'll ask anyway. Is anybody else familiar with this stuff? I believe I'm catching on, but it's a rough road. I want to use things such as DocBook with Xemacs. It looks as though the relevent DTDs, and who knows what else are not configured in Xemacs. I am begining to see how to do this, but I hate reconfiguring stuff with half a clue. Am I missing something here, or do I need to configure these things by hand? In particular when I try to validate a file, the default catalog does not contain the correct references. Do I need to manually specify the catalog I wish to use? How can I tell what DTDs xemacs can currently see?
