You might find the driver hp8xx useful, which supports the HP670, HP690, HP850, HP855, HP870, HP890, HP1100 and HP1600 color printers, and which seems to provide better quality than the present drivers. It has the option: -dQuality= -1 draft 0 normal [default] 1 presentation The driver will be included in all Ghostscript versions > 5.50. For now, you can find it, with extensive information, at: http://www.erdw.ethz.ch/~bonk/hp850/hp850.html However, I have not looked into it myself yet.
SH A litte time ago, there was a package at freshmeat for the HP pronter 550, wich also seems to work with the 660 series. This package could print ecofast. I belive the name was hpgs, or some thing like that
Good luck Alex
