If not please tell me what I'm missin of information(s) Erik -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It isn't easier to become member of uucp? Yast -> Security and Users -> User Management -> Edit -> Details -- Bogdan Cristea -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ok, what to do to eliminate that ?

Ok, I couldn't understand why it wouldn't work. Then I ran SuSEconfig, but didn't helped. After I rebooted, and as such I also did a log off and back again :-[

I use a software for hamradio -fldigi- for different digital modes, and the ttyS0 is for CAT Computer Aided Transmit, and I couldn't get in connect with the radio as user. Onlys as root it succeded. Now also as user. Erik -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Simply edit the line: users:x:100: That's how I have it.

No, reboot doesn't change anything, and SuSEconfig neither, for this at least.

Ah. No, I don't know that one, but sometimes the program needs to be suid, don't know why. I had to do that to get wvdial to work time ago. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Well here a reboot did it at least.

The usual way is to make the user a member of the uucp group. Any member of the uucp group will have read & write access. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
