[SLE] resizing partitions
hi all, i'm considering to wipe W95 from my hard disk, which will give me an extra 1GB of disk space. now, i would like to add this space to the partition that has the /usr directory on it, cause it's getting a tad full. however, yast only seems to have the possibility to add new partitions, not to enlarge existing ones. is there any way of doing this without having to reinstall completely? i'm running SuSE 6.2. Resizing is not an option on 6.2. I would use symlinks (usr/dir_a -> usr2/dir_a) and move a lot of the current /usr contents to /usr2. If you have a big /usr/local you could even add a seperate mount point for it in /etc/fstab. HTH Koos Pol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- S.C.
