[oS-en] Weird root password not recognized on tty1
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just rebooted my old laptop. As part of the procedure I need to login first on tty1 as root. It refused my password, many times. Then I logged as user, no problem, tried to "su -", password rejected. Then I switched to tty2, and loged as root first time, no problem. I am absolutely sure I type the password correctly. I use the same password in many places, including that laptop before rebooting. Then I logged in the graphical session as user, no problem. After a minute I tried again in tty1 as root, no problem. What is going on? That laptop is still on Leap 15.3, preparing to upgrade to 15.4 - -- Cheers Carlos E. R.
