greets; Went through this exercise last year and got it to work just fine. Then nuked it months later..:) Instructions on how to set up a yast repository server were extracted from the SuSE portal. However I cannot find this documentation for the life of me. Spend a few hrs now on the portal and google. Anyone have a URL for setting up a private yast repository server that Yast can be pointed too? From what I remember there were several scripts that SuSE supplied and some manual work was required to setup both the ftp tree and file system so that it can be interpreted by Yast clients. Best regards and tia. /ch

Thanks but this provides an update server. Also checked all the other guides...nice work. This is not what I am looking for however. What I would like to do is to create an archive of self build rpms that can be accessed directly and remotely by yast clients similar to known ftp resources accessible via yast for updates and installations. There is a specific need to do this from Yast and I can no longer find the reference material on the former suse.com support data base. Any clues would be appreciated. /ch
