At first it looked very simple, but it isn't. I have recorded with a sniffer a conversation of browsing a web site and that I have to do from the Linux machine. Right now I use a Windows machine, jumping from site to site. However, I am not interested in the contents of these web sites. I would like to use a background program on Linux, which would be much faster for that what I need. In order to make the program you will need a Windows machine and a SuSE box as firewall. If somebody is interested, I can provide more info via private emails. and this is an earth shaking revelation? :)

Hmmm... I generally get a bit nervous when someone makes claims like this -- sounds to me like you want someone to help you "crack" a site, not something I like to "provide assistance" with in a public forum...
that I have to do from the Linux machine. Right now I use a Windows machine, jumping from site to site. However, I am not interested in the contents of these web sites.
...however this sounds moderately reasonable: although the thoughts appear a bit jumbled, I take it you want to automate some aspect of a daily browse routine. This technique is generally referred to as "screen-scraping" [or "web-scraping" nowadays] and there is a fairly nice article about it in a recent linux magazine [april issue, I believe] If you can still find the issue on a newsstand, spend the $5 bucks on the mag and become self-enlightented... :) - -- Yet another Blog: http://osnut.homelinux.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) Comment: http://osnut.homelinux.net/TomEmerson.asc iD8DBQE+t1e+V/YHUqq2SwsRAm0JAKC7O61EhBwUfWqaGNVInUP864PyDwCfTGAP XsMJwjIYL/2hROjJKkv0Mq8= =ni2w -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
