[opensuse] KDE 4 taskbar
Is it possible to change the taskbar from translucent to opaque? Translucent, with those washed out icons looks terrible. Stronger colours for those icons would also be nice. Also, what happened to the < & > buttons at the end of the task bar that are used to collapse it when desired. And who's bright idea was it to move the "X" button for closing an app or folder to the top left corner? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That's all theme based. Change your themes and you get different icon colors, task bar opacity, close button layouts etc. Who's bright idea was it to change the X button to the top left... well, that would be you and whoever made the theme you're using :-) C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

One can even mix plasma themes. If the hardware is capable of it enabling the blur effect also makes the panel less translucent. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Good point. I do this myself. I have a mix of Window decorations, button types, taskbar styles, transparent or naked widget styles, etc. It's one of the things I really like about KDE... the ability to change it to what's right for each user.
