Hi, Where can I find the httpd.conf file in Suse 8.2? I've looked for it with whereis command but it only found /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.rpmsave. I've installed Apache 2. Thanks.
Hello, In the package of Apache2 there are /etc/apache2/httpd.conf and /etc/apache2/httpd.conf.default. Just rename /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.rpmsave to /etc/httpd/httpd.conf or reinstall the package. Fred

You might want to have a look at /etc/sysconfig/apache2. -- JDL Non enim propter gloriam, diuicias aut honores pugnamus set propter libertatem solummodo quam Nemo bonus nisi simul cum vita amittit.

Well, you're right... When you install Apache2 in SuSE 8.2, just about nothing gets activated, so you need to run SuSEconfig manually or via YaST2 to activate all settings for Apache2. Then you have to either via YaST2 or via 'chkconfig apache on' activate it at system startup. Anders Norrbring Norrbring Consulting
