locate and updatedb on 9.0
Dear all, Just doing 9.0 fresh install. I cannot do locate and updatedb like I did on 7.3 machine. Any clue from list? TIA edwin

That some users may find out the names and whereabouts of files they have no business in knowing about. That's why the updatedb runs as 'nobody'. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

Did you try the locate command to find it? ;-) Actually, you have to install the (IIRC) find-utils package.
