Has anyone used an SMC either USB or Nic on their system? I'm thinking of getting a wireless system for home and wanted some feedback. For reasons I don't want to ramble on about, I'd like to stick with SMC. Thanks, Tom
Tom I ageree with you on SMC. I have an SMC wireless router and have found it to be a very good product. I use it as DHCP server, but my linux box is connected to a wired port. I don't have an SMC Nic however. Jim On Friday 19 December 2003 21:10, Tom Nielsen wrote:

LInux Magazine issue 38 January 2004 has an article called : "Air Power: wireless LAN with 54MBit/s to IEEE 802.11g standard, based on SMC's SMC2835W WLAN card and SMC 2804WBR wireless access router. It uses the Prism Duette chipset, and driver and doc are available at ruslug.rudgers.edu/~mcgrof/802.11g FX -- ______________________ Courtesy of SuSE Linux http://www.nibz.org
