Martin, No do not trash it yet! On the SuSE distribution there is another Lexmark printer driver package l7k*.rpm (Just search for it in the index) - Also available from http://bimbo.fjfi.cvut.cz/~paluch/l7kdriver/ . It says Lexmark 7000, but they work just fine with the Lexmark 5700. I used to run it on my SuSE 6.3 server sharing a printer on a Windows 98 box. Across a 10MBps Ethernet the printing is a bit slow but it does work. Colour and all! A driver can be found under http://www.ultranet.com/~setaylor/papers.htm but it seems to lack of some "basic" functionality such as support for color, etc. Does anyone know of a newer driver for that printer? or should I trash it without mercy? }:-> Thanks in advance!
