Hi all Upon trying to run the news build of Sax2 tonite after changing monitors, I realized it wasn't going to work! I had remembered when updating the program it came back with a dependency for "libhd.so.2", but disregarded it at the time. Well, I couldn't do that tonite as it needs that in order to work! I had to go back to the build included with 7.3 and that worked ok to get me going again. What is the "sysp.pl" file and what does libhd.so.2 come from? One seems to point at the other and the new sax2 will need the libhd.so.2 to work now. If this new monitor came with a booklet you can just put the frequencies in yourself. You don't need a prepackaged config file. If you do it this way you will get the same display as if SaX2 knew what monitor it was. * Patrick (tracerb@sprintmail.com) [020219 18:21]: ->Hi all -> ->Upon trying to run the news build of Sax2 tonite after changing ->monitors, I realized it wasn't going to work! Thanks Ben, That was what I did after getting setup again. I run sax2 then went in and adjusted the parts I needed to do after. What I can't figure out is how to get the libhd.so.2 file installed. Everything I find says it is provided by hwinfo and I do have that installed. But the information I have found is that it is a patch for 7.2 version 2.15! I have 7.3 installed and 3.25 installed? What is that all about? Should I remove it and install it again to see if the libhd.so.2 is installed? Got me baffled! ;o) Patrick ============== On Tuesday 19 February 2002 09:32 pm, Ben Rosenberg, went on about:

Ok, I think I have answered my own question now. It seems I am only a 7.3 user for a few days now, so I gotta remember to get 7.3 files from the SuSE ftp site not 7.2!! Guess I will figure it out as I go along, huh? ;o) Downloaded the Sax2 files for 7.3 and it seems to work now with my version of hwinfo and the libhd.so.3 files it installs for 7.3 update. 7.2 hwinfo does install libhd.so.2, but I am not using 7.2 now! Just goes to show you all files are not created equal, doesn't it? ;o) Regards, Patrick ================= On Tuesday 19 February 2002 09:13 pm, Patrick, went on about:
