Netscape just MIGHT be on it's way back to the "top of the heap" again, IF Mozilla keeps going the way it is! Although 0.8 still crashes now and then, it's performance is VERY MUCH improved!! Even though it did go out and grap java2 for linux, and it's in the plugin dir., it doesn't work, and there's NO way to set it up in 0.8. Anyone find a way to get it to work? Thanks, Fred -- Failure is not an option, it comes pre-installed with your Windoze software.

Hi Fred- I don't know how to make java2 work; but after some play with Mozilla 0.8 I have to agree. Mozilla seems to be coming along very well and its nice to see. I still have netscape installed but now I have to specifically "run" it in windowmaker. Mozilla's email client has come a long way also. I could make mozilla crash before by just trying to setup a email profile :) -- Michael Perry mperry@tsoft.com ------------------

Try installing jre.xpi from ftp.netscape.com (it's somewhere in the netscape6 directory). Ciao, Stefan -- Stefan Troeger o _ _ _ stefan@troeger.st __o __o /\_ _ \\o (_)\__/o (_) _`\<, _`\<, _>(_) (_)/<_ \_| \ _|/' \/ (_)/(_) (_)/(_) (_) (_) (_) (_)' _\o_

<snip> Netscape 6.0.1 for Tux, is WAY improved too & brings yall this email. Tiz a "large" download, but the Java bits are therein. The only crashes I have are @ AMDZONE.COM & I think that is them, rather than Netscape???? Mozie 0.7 for Tux was dam stable too. *BFN* Greek Geek :-) "Slightly better than drinking Drano(TM)"
