Hi all, I have SUSE 10.0 installed. It has been running the last 6 months without a problem. Suddenly my PS/2 mouse (Logitech) behaves strangely. The scroll-wheel is activated when moving the mouse sideways. Clicking does not respond immediately. Moving over programmes or windows in the taskbar opens them, etc. I tried a usb Logitech as well, even a M$ PS/2. All behave the same. Using Yast (SaX2) does not improve anything. When SaX2 ends with the Test or Save options, it complains of an error in line 103 or 96 (each time the "EndSection" of a "mouse" Driver section). Only a cancel works. It writes to /var/lib/sax/xorg.conf, but no change seems to take place in mouse behaviour. The strange thing is that there are no real choices for Logitech standard usb or PS/2 mice in YaST2. If you use yast in the clp, there are other options altogether. Strange? My /var/lib/sax/xorg.conf file with 2 mouse sections (?): Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Option "Buttons" "4" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Name" "Cordless Trackman FX (USB)" Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2" Option "Vendor" "Logitech" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[3]" Option "Buttons" "7" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Name" "NetScrollPS/2" Option "Protocol" "NetScrollPS/2" Option "Vendor" "PS/2-Mouse" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection The /etc/X11/xorg.conf (can't change it - it comes back every time even after I change it with SaX2 in YaST2): Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[3]" Option "Buttons" "7" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Name" "NetScrollPS/2" Option "Protocol" "NetScrollPS/2" Option "Vendor" "PS/2-Mouse" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Where can manual configuration be done? What roles do these two xorg.conf in these two different directories have? I want to use a standard Logitech USB mouse with wheel on a cable. How can I get it to work the manual way please. How can I clean the config to restart a YaST2 clean install of the mouse? :-) Al
