I have problems to connect from a Linux(Samba) computer to NT. I can connect without any problems from NT to Linux. The name pservgul is in the host file in the DNS and the computer name is pservgul. I am sure about that.

The problem is perhaps the broadcast. Do you really have a net 172.30.0.0, netmask 255.255.0.0, broadcast 172.30.255.255? If not, the WINNT-computer doesn't feel himself accosted. Solution: Put an entry like this: interfaces = 172.30.10.24/255.255.255.0 in the global-section of your /etc/smb.conf if you e.g. have a net 172.30.10.0 mfG, Carsten Hoeger ------ Carsten Hoeger - S.u.S.E.
