[opensuse] copying printer config
Hello, I have two network printers that are not that easy to configure. my first 13.2 install fail (see next thread if you want details), I reinstalled a new one on an other partition. how can I copy/paste the printer config from the old install to the new one? thanks jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I've done this routinely with cups printers, with only an occasional hick-up when the ppd files are not in the same place or same name from release to release. I just copy the whole /etc/cups dir -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

thanks, I will try this. I have a printer that needed compilation of gutenprint and do not like to do this too often :-) jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
